Dashboards
Unlock the hidden value in your research data.
Interactive dashboards built by people who understand research.
You have already invested in collecting valuable research. But if the answers are buried across years of reports, spreadsheets and disconnected datasets, your team cannot easily use that research when new business questions arise.
D&M Research turns complex tracking and survey data into intuitive, interactive dashboards that your team can use and trust.
See headline results, track changes over time and explore different audiences, segments and demographics, all without waiting for another report or requesting another round of analysis.
Six months of dashboard hosting is currently included at no charge with new dashboard builds.
Is your research data working hard enough?
Many organisations are sitting on years of valuable tracking data but still rely on static reports to find answers. When a new question arises, someone has to search through old presentations, locate the right result or ask an analyst to run another table. Comparisons across waves can be slow, difficult and sometimes unreliable.
The data exists. The organisation has already paid to collect it. But much of its value remains locked away.
A well-designed research dashboard changes that. It provides one reliable place to view your most important metrics, follow changes over time and investigate the questions that emerge from the results.
More than charts on a screen
Building a dashboard is not simply a matter of loading data and choosing some attractive charts.
Tracking research frequently changes over time. Question wording evolves. Scales are reversed or expanded. Response options change. Variables are renamed. New measures are introduced, old measures are retired and weighting approaches may differ between waves.
Unless those changes are identified and handled correctly, a dashboard can look impressive while presenting trends that are incomplete, inconsistent or simply misleading.

From overwhelming to accessible
One of our clients had more than a decade of tracking research spread across numerous waves, questionnaires and reports.
The historical data had never been fully mapped. Questions and scales had changed, weighting needed to be managed correctly and the volume of information had become overwhelming.
We audited the study, identified the core and headline measures, mapped the variables across waves and created a consistent structure for the historical data. The finished dashboard gave the client:
Our presentations can now focus on what has changed and what it means. When those findings prompt another question, the client can investigate it immediately within the dashboard.
A dashboard is only valuable if people use it
Many years ago, after receiving an early-generation dashboard, a client told us:
“It’s like having a brand-new car in the driveway, but I don’t have the keys.” It was powerful, but it still felt like a statistical package. Using it required training and analytical knowledge, so it risked becoming another sophisticated tool that nobody actually opened.
That experience shaped how we approach dashboards today. The technology has improved enormously, but good design remains essential. Users should not need to understand cross-tabulation software, weighting or data structures. They should be able to open the dashboard, understand what they are seeing and start exploring.
Our dashboards are designed to be:

What can your team do?
Monitor the metrics that matter
See your headline measures and key performance indicators in one place, including measures such as NPS, customer satisfaction, customer effort, brand health and other organisation-specific metrics.
Track changes over time
Follow results from wave to wave, identify emerging patterns and see where meaningful shifts are occurring.
Explore different audiences
Filter results using pre-agreed segments, demographics, customer groups, behavioural measures or other important business discriminators.
Investigate questions immediately
When a presentation or internal request raises another question, authorised users can explore it without waiting for another report or requesting additional analysis.
Give different users the right level of access
Provide a clear, accessible dashboard for general users while allowing insights professionals and other power users to investigate the data more deeply.
Respond more quickly across the business
Give your insights, marketing and research teams the ability to answer requests from stakeholders using one controlled and reliable source of research data.
Who is it for?
Insights and research managers
Empower your internal insights team to answer business questions, explore audiences and investigate changes without needing specialist statistical software.
Marketing and customer teams
Give non-technical users an intuitive view of the measures they need, with simple filtering and clear visualisations.
Organisations with years of tracking data
Bring historical research out of old reports, spreadsheets and data files and turn it into a living, accessible source of knowledge.
Continuous and frequent trackers
Replace or reduce repetitive monthly reporting with a dashboard that is updated as new data becomes available.
Organisations beginning a new tracker
Establish a strong dashboard structure from the beginning and create a research asset that grows with each new wave.
Why use research specialists
General business intelligence tools can be excellent for operational and transactional data. Market research data, however, brings its own complexities.
It may include:
Our team has decades of experience analysing market research data using platforms including SPSS, Minitab, SurveyCraft, Q and Displayr. We understand how research is designed, collected, weighted, analysed and reported. That allows us to build dashboards more efficiently, identify issues that a general dashboard developer may overlook and validate the results against your existing reporting.
We do not just visualise your data. We make sure it means what the dashboard says it means.

How it works
1. Understand the problem
We begin with a discussion about your research, the questions your organisation needs to answer and how different people will use the dashboard.
2. Audit the data
We review the available data files, questionnaires, variables, scales, weighting approaches and historical reporting.
3. Map the measures across time
We identify the headline and core metrics, determine which measures can be compared consistently and recommend the most appropriate starting point for each trend.
4. Agree on dashboard structure
Together, we decide what should be included, how the information should be organised, which filters users need and whether different access levels are required.
5. Design and build
We create a branded dashboard using Displayr, combining an intuitive user experience with the analytical power required for market research data.
6. Review and refine
We work with your team through draft versions, test the results and refine the content, design and user experience.
7. Launch and onboard
We create user access and permissions, provide onboarding and make sure your team is comfortable using the finished dashboard.
No specialist software required
Your organisation does not need to purchase a Displayr licence, install specialist software or employ an internal dashboard developer. D&M Research manages:
When a new wave is ready, we clean, map, validate and add it to the dashboard. Updates can typically be completed within seven to ten business days after the final analysed data becomes available.
Get more from the research you have already paid for
The largest investment has usually already been made: collecting the data. A dashboard allows your organisation to extract more value from that investment by reducing reliance on static reports, limiting repetitive analysis requests and making existing findings available when business questions arise.
Instead of commissioning another cut of the data or searching through years of presentations, your team can go directly to a trusted source and investigate the answer.
Start with a feasibility review
Not every dataset is ready to become a dashboard, and we do not believe in recommending one until we understand the data and the business need. Our free initial feasibility review will help determine:
We will then recommend an appropriate approach and provide a clearly scoped quotation. New dashboard builds currently include the first six months of hosting at no charge.
